Wat zijn gerectificeerde tegels?
Gerectificeerde tegels zijn na het bakproces op maat verzaagd en hebben rechte hoeken en kanten. Dit resulteert in een maatvaste tegel die je gemakkelijk kan plaatsen met een minimale voeg. Dit zorgt voor een strak eindresultaat. Een keramische tegel is echter nooit 100% vlak en bij gerectificeerde tegels houdt dit wel in dat, zelfs bij een vlakke ondergrond, de randen en/of hoeken iets kunnen uitsteken, dit is vooral te zien bij strijklicht en kan ook worden gevoeld. Bij twijfel, laat een professionele tegelzetter er naar kijken en/of adviseren.
Bij een niet gerectificeerde tegel lopen de kanten door het bakproces een (klein beetje) rond of schuin af. Elke tegel die uit de oven komt is nooit precies dezelfde maat. Bij het verwerken kan dit leiden tot een minder strak resultaat en een iets bredere vroeg.
